rather than do nothing

today found a scrap bit of broken timber in my shed, and cut it with the table saw and then put it work on the lathe, just learning about parts at the moment. so had a bit that holds the part , and the wood that was cut turned and seemed balanced enough on the lathe, and have a bit to cut into the wood, and when i when to put the blade into the turning wood, it's easy to see that this little start, a bit from centre is now far from centred, and only on half the side of the wood, the thin round, have made an effect. anyway can keep going with that, to learn and stuff.
