swap my solar powered fan for a mini heater

plan to cut the tip off because i want polarity wires into the solar charge controller

cut the plug off, find there isn't much of a why to visually tell the difference between tips, no writing on the cable itself and no red or black sign....decided one was positive and one negative, and it's alright...i'm super confident, that if you cut it on the diagonal, like i did, i've got a longer positive wire///// as close as i look at the markings, on one side of the chopped off plug there is a "-" then positive is on the right(of shorter cut).
